Shelby is passionate about growing herself and others as restaurant leaders. Excellence has always been the standard for her work and became a driving factor in how she invested in developing talent early in her career.
At Leadership Consultancy, Shelby helps clients exceed industry standards in food handling with excellence. She performs restaurant operational evaluations, facilitates classes and training sessions, and administers certification assessments to empower teams to serve consistently great food in a clean and safe environment.
Shelby holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in English from William Carey University. Since earning her ServSafe® Instructor/Proctor Certification in 2016, Shelby has leveraged this skillset to inspire and engage restaurant team members, Operators, and support staff around the United States. She has 10 years of experience in leadership with Chick-fil-ATM franchisees, specializing in refining processes and systems for Leadership Development, Training, Talent investment, and Food Safety. Shelby also spent five years in the fine dining industry working under two James Beard award-winning chefs. Her dream to become a Michelin Star restaurant owner evolved into a dream of business partnership with Chick-fil-A, Inc.TM after meeting her first Operator, which married her passion for superior food handling with purpose.
